Luca Link

I have been pursuing my dream of becoming a professional racing driver since I was 10 years old. I am very ambitious and always working to improve myself. My life also revolves around motorsport outside of active driving. I am currently attending a technical secondary school specialising in vehicle technology, a subject that I would like to pursue further in my studies after graduating from high school. The fascination of motorsport is a family affair for us, as both my parents are also active in motorsport. They support me in my dream, as do my siblings, and accompany me on my way to becoming a professional athlete.

My motivation

That’s why me!

I am young, fast and ambitious – on and off the track. I am always willing to learn and can quickly implement everything my engineer, coach or team boss asks of me and improve. Even outside of motorsport, everything I do is aimed at achieving the best time. Whether I‘m mountain biking, jogging or skiing, the stopwatch is always running.

My plans/goals

After an instructive season in automobile motorsport and as a support driver in the BMW M2 Cup 2023, I was able to achieve my first successes and podium finishes in GT4 racing in 2024 and also gain my first experience in the ADAC Prototype Cup in LMP3. I was able to make an immediate mark here with top 5 results. My long-term goal is to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the premier class of LMP racing. For 2025, however, I’m initially aiming for a strong, successful season in the ADAC GT4 Germany and want to show that I’m also a force to be reckoned with in GT racing. I’m prepared to give my all to realise this plan.

BMW M2 Cup Kart Driver Shootout and what has developed from it

In February 2023, I was selected to take part in a BMW M2 Cup kart driver shootout in Germany. There, together with other kart drivers, I was allowed to complete various tests in the simulator, a short media session, fitness tests and finally a day on the race track in the BMW M2 CS Racing. The comprehensive assessment of the experts was very positive in my favour, as I was able to impress them with my skills on and off the track. This gave me the chance to enter the BMW M2 Cup and establish myself in international professional motorsport over the next few years, which I have shown and proven over the past few seasons.

„Luca has developed a lot over the course of the season. He has been working extensively with the data and also shows a very high level of commitment off the track. On the fi nal weekend at the Red Bull Ring in particular, Luca put in an outstanding performance with two very strong races and a second place in qualifying. If he can build on this performance in 2024, he has a very good chance of being among the front runners.“
